Amber
Some stones have such special properties that their name is their color. Amber is such a stone.
Belonging to a small class of organic gems, Amber is neither a crystal nor a mineral. Instead it is a biological product of nature, a protective resin that oozed from living trees in dense, prehistoric forests and fossilized over millions of years.
Orange to orangish brown in color, it is highly prized in the metaphysical world for its energetic and healing properties, and for the marvelous Life Force it carries.
Look closely and you may actually find the remains of prehistoric, once living insects, organisms and plant matter that were trapped in the sticky sap before it fossilized and that are now forever suspended within its golden structure.
